Day 1 - Arrival
Meet and greet at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 2 - Tbilisi City Tour
After breakfast we have Tbilisi Walking Sightseeing tour. During the tour we take you to the places that will show you old city. You can take a glance to the history of the city from early centuries to nowadays by walking in narrow streets of the city and exploring the religious and secular architecture. Here you find different religious buildings–churches, synagogues, mosque, as well as famous 19th century houses with wooden multi-colored balconies. You visit the sulfur bath which made an unforgettable impression on Pushkin, Lermontov, Dumas. During the tour you enjoy the superb panoramic views of the Old city. This marks the end of the Old Town. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 3 - Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Ananuri - Gudauri
Today we drive to Mtskheta and visit its historic Jvari Monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) –both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then drive up Georgian military highway to visit Ananuri architectural complex (16th century) and then arrive in Gudauri ski resort. Dinner and overnight in Gudauri in a hotel.
Day 4 - Gudauri - Kazbegi - Tbilisi
In the morning we drive to Kazbegi and from there walk up for about 1.5 hour through beautiful valleys and woodland which leads us to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170 m, offering beautiful views of the Caucasus Mountains and the town of Kazbegi. Weather permitting we may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (5047m). Aferwards drive to Dariali gorge. Later drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi in a hotel.
Day 5 - Tbilisi - Haghpat - Haghartsin - Dilijan
After breakfast at the hotel, say good bye to the fairy tale city of Tbilisi and drive Georgia – Armenia border Sadakhlo, fulfill border crossing formalities and start an unforgettable tour in Armenia with Haghpat Monastery (10th century, UNESCO). The monastery of Haghpat has found its place in the charming setting of the wonderful nature. It is the jewel of the Lori region, and Armenia in general. A pleasant drive accompanied with luxurious nature will take us to Dilijan to enjoy the 19th century appearance of the town. This wonderfully forested region is rich in mineral waters. Some of them are compared with Wichi in France and Davos in Switzerland. Dilijan is “the Switzerland of Armenia.” On the way to Dilijan pay a visit to Haghartsin Monastery, situated near the densely-forested region of Dilijan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Day 6 - Dilijan - Lake Sevan - Tsaghkadzor - Yerevan
After breakfast at the hotel we will have a short walk along the azure Lake Sevan. Lake Sevan has a unique combination of great size, high mountain location, and comparatively “soft water”. Lake Sevan is one of the greatest freshwater high-mountain lakes of Eurasia. It is located at about 2000 meters above the sea level. (Optional* lunch tasting barbeque from Sevan trout). We will then explore the summer residence of the Favorite Armenian King Ashot the Iron (Ashot Erkat) – Sevanavank Monastery (9th century). Continue the tour driving to the whole year round resort town of Tsaghkadzor. Here we can enjoy riding Quadracycles, then use the ropeway to get to the mountain and enjoy the magnificent panorama all around. Transfer to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Day 7 - Yerevan City Tour - Shopping Time
After breakfast at the hotel, we will have a morning walk in the pink city of Yerevan. This ancient city is 29 years older than Rome. We will start walking in the most pleasant Republic Square with Government buildings, History Museum and Marriott Hotel surrounding it. In the evening we can enjoy the colorful singing and dancing fountains. In case of desire we can visit a jewelry gallery, where we can buy exclusive jewelry. The jewels presented are executed in a single copy and are unique. Walking up one of the oldest streets in Yerevan – Abovyan Street – we will appear in the richest avenue in Yerevan – the Northern Avenue with many brand shops, luxurious cafes and restaurants. Our next stop – the Opera and Ballet House and the Swan Lake – face the Northern Avenue. We will enjoy our time in the fascinating weather of the sunny Yerevan while walking around Cascade Monument. It has 2780 stairs designating the 2780 anniversary of the capital city. If we walk up the “huge staircase” of 500 meters height and 50 meters width, we can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the city with the spectacular Opera House, Mount Ararat as well as the view to the whole city. We will then walk up the huge stairs to the Park of Freedom. Here the whole city seems to be at our hand. Magnificent view. If we are lucky enough to have a clear weather, we will enjoy a beautiful view to Mount Ararat. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Day 8 - Departure
Transfer to the airport. Farewell.
